A Little About Me
Hi, My name is Janel Rogers. I am so glad you are here! I am a fully trained and certified Birth and Postpartum doula practicing in the Dallas/Ft Worth area since 2018. I personally experienced 4 different medicated hospital births all with multiple interventions. Following those births, I gave birth to my fifth child, unmedicated and fully educated on my rights as a birthing mom. This set the wheels in motion for my desire to become a doula and help other moms like myself. My journey has completely changed my perspective of birth and formed who I am as a doula today!

The main word that comes to mind when describing Janel's work as a doula is champion. We had three days of labor and Janel was with us nearly the whole time. Her level of commitment was beyond anything we could have imagined for a doula. Especially as first time parents, we can honestly say that without her presence we would have been lost. She was compassionate and empathetic while also exhibiting immense grit and fortitude. Her knowledge was evident from not only her experience as a doula but also from having 5 children of her own. She carries what can truly be described as a supernatural peace and she conveyed this peace to us throughout all our time together. Working with Janel was a pleasure. She was prepared and ready on very short notice. She came to my house and was very helpful and stepped in wherever she could so I could focus and get ready to go. She asked questions and made it easy to talk through things making me feel prepared and comfortable. During labor she took charge while always making sure I was getting what I needed. I never had to worry about anything but instead focused on my labor. She worked alongside my husband and other support team very well. She was encouraging and supportive every step of the way! She had me try several different positions to keep my labor progression beautifully and her use of counter pressure allowed me to survive some very intense labor pain! She stayed with me after labor for several hours which allowed my husband to run and grab dinner for us. A few days after we got home she came over to process everything and check in on us. Janel was such a sweet blessing for us!
